LDNPA Consultations

One of our core projects is the continuous inclusion in any consultations regarding changes to rights of way within the Lake District.
We receive regular consultation letters from the Lake District National Park Authority regarding changes to rights of way and we share any relevant information with our members for their input.

Rights of Way Improvement Plan.

We have recently been involved with a review of the rights of way improvement plan for the Lake District, in co-operation with LDNPA. The ROWIP maps have been reviewed by the committee and some association members and requests for bridleway upgrade have been submitted to LDNPA.

We will keep all interested parties updated as this process progresses.

Changes to English Access Laws

It is a well known issue amongst mountain bikers, horse riders and even users of English waterways that the English access laws are considered to be outdated and not in line with the demands of today's user groups.

We are working behind the scenes to gather more information regarding this subject and will support any campaigns that aims to effect a change in English access laws to favour more user groups.
